Serves as the first point of contact with the public; answers incoming telephone calls; receives messages; directs questions regarding Child Start and related functions and activities, greets and registers all visitors and advises appropriate staff of the visitor's arrival; signs for receipt of deliveries and supplies, utilizes bilingual skills to effectively communicate in English and/or Spanish; interprets, translates and summarizes forms, letter and handouts as requested. Processes various forms of payment, faxes, printing requests and invoices promptly. Directs incoming and outgoing mail. Follows and/or improves established procedures. Serves as backup for overflow clerical/typing requests.
