  • Overview

    Provides customer service to clients.  Performs clerical duties as necessary. Prepares the conference room for each assigned professional development event. Acts as host for guest speakers.  Supports the membership and service goals of the Child Care Resource & Referral Program.

     

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    • This position works one to four times per week, dependent on scheduled professional development events.
    • To support professional development events, the Professional Development Clerk will work 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. on scheduled weeknights; 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. on scheduled weekends.
    • Selected candidate MUST be able to work all scheduled events.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Unlocks and locks conference room door for scheduled events.
    • Greets and checks-in participants.
    • Collects money and makes out receipts.
    • Makes certificates for all participants signing in.  Stamps and seals certificates.  Records on the sign-in sheet whether a certificate was given.  Makes certificates available 15 minutes prior to scheduled end time.
    • Counts the cash box before and after the workshop.  Records and categorizes all receipts.
    • Prepares the workshop area as directed/necessary.
    • Stores all A/V equipment properly after the workshop.
    • Keeps records of client contacts and complies service statistics for reports to funding sources.
    • Promotes sales of memberships and services.
    • Assists providers and recommends educational materials for the library as needed.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
    • One year experience working with the public. 
    • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
