  • Overview

    Recruits and retains new family child care providers.  Researches, develops and presents professional development events. Consults with centers, providers, preschools and parents regarding their special concerns. Supports membership and service goals of the Child Care Resource & Referral Program (CCR&R).

     

    WORK SCHEDULE:
    This position involves frequent evenings and weekends, hours may vary week to week.
    FLEX SCHEDULING is available, this position can work no more than 30 hours per week.

    Responsibilities

    • Recruits and retains child care providers.
    • Researches and designs a plan for recruiting child care providers to meet contractual goals.
    • Designs and distributes publicity materials for recruitment.
    • Researches, develops and presents professional development events as per agency and contractual requirements for providers and parents.
    • Develops and presents one or more new trainings every month (6 per year).
    • Actively participates in ensuring the program is Quality Assurance Certified in best practices.
    • Outreach to businesses and community organizations.
    • Consults with centers, providers, preschools, and parents regarding their special concerns
    • Supports membership and service goals of the Child Care Resource and Referral programs.

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.  
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications. 
    • Knowledge of child care. 
    • Three years experience in providing direct care for infants and/or toddlers or children ages two to eight in a group setting.  
    • One year experience providing training to adult audiences with extensive experience researching and developing training programs and resources
