  • Overview

    Responsible for daily systems operation; including Child Plus data entry, clerical and other programmatic responsibilities for individual Head Start 0-5 or partnership centers. Supports full enrollment and program compliance through recruitment and application activities.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Enter all partnership information into Child Plus relating to children and families.
    • Maintain status changes on the computer.
    • Run computer reports as requested by supervisor.
    • Organize and maintain a tracking system to assure ongoing monitoring of the data necessary for the accurate compilation of the PIR.
    • Enter and verify data into Child Plus on all Head Start 0-5 applications as they come into the agency.
    • Explains Head Start 0-5 Program to parents and helps complete application forms.
    • Completes all application requirements for a new child entering the program in a timely manner.
    • Calculates and verifies income eligibility on all 0-5 applications.
    • Helps parents complete Health insurance application for eligible children without health coverage and insurance.
    • Notifies supervisor, ERSEA Coordinator, Monitoring Team and Center Manager of all completed applications.
    • Creates an individual professional development plan which outlines training needs and a plan for meeting goals.
    • Attends staff meetings, in-service, and other trainings as required.
    • Works collaboratively with the ERSEA Coordinator to provide consistent services to families.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.  
    • One year data entry skills experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work independently and with others. 
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. 
    • Able to adjust to many interruptions and new situations. 
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
