  • Overview

    Responsible for daily systems operation; including Child Plus data entry, clerical and other programmatic responsibilities for individual Head Start 0-5 or partnership centers. Carry out routine center operations. Prepare center's typing and routine reports as requested.


    • Supports secretarial needs of the Early Childhood Manager.
    • Enters and verifies data in Child Plus on all Head Start applications as they come into the center.
    • Calculates and verifies income eligibility on all 0-5 applications.
    • Enters all center information into Child Plus relating to children and families.
    • Updates status changes electronically.
    • Generates computer reports as requested by supervisor.
    • Organizes and maintains a tracking system to assure ongoing monitoring of the data necessary for the accurate compilation of the PIR.
    • Maintains purchase order tracking system.
    • Prepares in-kind report.



    • High School Diploma or equivalent.  
    • One year data entry skills experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work independently and with others. 
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. 
    • Able to adjust to many interruptions and new situations. 
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects or materials up to 30 pounds.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
